Lynette has five years of experience working specifically with college students; overseeing a staff of college students who organized and facilitated team development programs, backpacking, rock climbing, and sea kayaking trips. In some capacity she has been developing people her entire career; from world-class ballet dancers to leaders at Fortune 500 companies, she has challenged hundreds of people to pursue and integrate their passion into their everyday life. Currently her most important focus is her wild and ornery sons Lucas (5) and Nathan (2). You also must know she gets really excited about fair-trade dark chocolate (specifically Askinosie), Jeni’s ice cream, and exploring the eastern seaboard with her husband, Matt, and the boys.
Chris brings leadership development experience, wilderness savvy, and creativity to the table. His past roles as an executive director at a camp, program manager, and teacher lend well to overseeing the operations and logistics of CORE, as well as investing in participants through mentoring and leadership development. And, if you want to learn anything about making kids laugh by using puppets, he’s your guy. Most importantly though, he can be bribed with brownies, or tickets to a Jets game - but only when they are good.
Nate comes with a heart and passion for the gap year crowd, having himself graduated from a transformative christian gap year program. Nate is passionate about developing people and helping them understand how to harness their spiritual gifts and vocational calling for God’s glory. He will oversee participants’ service experience on the weekends and guide them in practicing biblical hospitality with guests. He will also be overseeing the direction of Bible studies and our Bible-based curriculum and teaching. It's definitely a bonus that he has his Masters of Divinity Degree. If you really want to get to know Nate, share a good cup of coffee with him, or better yet go on an adventure; snow shoeing and hiking are his jam. He is married to his spunky wife Leah, and has two sons, Jude (7) and Haakon (4).
